1999 |
In 1999, with regard to preserving broadcast
heritage and providing a window to radio history
for the public, the Radio Museum was established
at the site of RTI, Minsyong Branch, which makes
a landmark building by the acknowledgement of
the government, given its significant history
and holding of the precious transmitter built by
NEC electric company of Japan 60 years ago. |
2001 |
On July
26th, 2001, the lodging house of RTI
Minsyong Branch was also listed as a landmark
building. The Radio Museum not only exhibits the
collection it owns, but stages various cultural
events from time to time. |
2002 |
On March 18th, 2002, the application
for becoming a Local Cultural Museum was
approved by the Ministry of Culture. |
2004 |
RTI,
Minsyong Branch officially joined the lineup of
Local Cultural Museum under the Ministry of
Culture in 2004, and made to the list of
Minsyong Eight Wonders in a local poll, which
adds an entertaining trait to itself. |
